Don’t ever get comfortable with your designs, keep striving for perfection

It seems like some accounts fall through the Instagram crack and dont get the recognition that they deserve. @flecce_ is a perfect example of this, he has some amazing edits on his profile his edits and manipulations are stellar. Everyone on and off Instagram is looking for uniqueness, a way to separate themselves from the pack and stand out. Bob has a unique skillset with a style thats all his own so lets look deeper into his train of thought and see if we can pick up some tips to help get our creative juices flowing.

How long have you been using Adobe Photoshop to edit?

About 5 years.

How did you get into digital arts?

I started from seeing some digital works and I was interested to try it, so it became a hobby until now.

 What inspires you to create?

I want to be a digital artist but with my own style.

Who are some of the creative artists on Instagram that inspires you?

@futarinokizuna_ (drawer) and @erik.joh (digital artist)

 With Instagram being so saturated with talent right now, how are you able to stay unique and fresh?

By trying new things, like story telling edit, and I create what I believe.

 How do you educate yourself and keep learning?

I am never satisfied, and I always want to get better by trying new techniques.

What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started editing using Photoshop?

I want to master all the features and tools in photoshop

Do you use Adobe Lightroom? If so for what specific purpose?

Yes, but rarely, usually for color correction only.

 Take us through your workflow from beginning a project to posting it on instagram? 

It starts with an idea in my head, then I will go to unsplash.com/deviantart/pixabay and many other sites, download all relevant images that I may need, and edit them and pour my ideas on the layers until it becomes a masterpiece.

What do you hope to achieve from posting on instagram? Are you just posting for the fun of editing or are you hoping to use your instagram gallery as a portfolio for bigger opportunities?

I hope both.

I know from experience that photoshop files many layers can take up lots of space on a computers hard drive, How do you back up your original work?

I usually back up on an external hard drive and cloud storage.

How important is getting likes and comments vs just posting as an artistic expression?

It is very important, because likes and comments gives criticism and motivation to work better.

If there wasn’t an Instagram, where would you showcase your work?

Maybe on facebook or other art websites like behance or deviantart.

Have you gotten any financial opportunities because of Instagram? 

Yes, sometime.

Do you think that instagram has helped or hurt digital artists?

No, I think that instagram makes it easier for digital artist to show off their talent.
