Florida has many talented photographers and @aroundq is definitely in the top 10 that we have seen, so defiantly give his answers a read and pass by his gallery for your daily dose of inspiration.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Whats your style of photography, what type of images do you identify with most.
I don’t necessarily have a particular style. I just love all aspects of photography. If I had to put myself into a category it would be travel photography.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Which photographers influenced you.
I love a lot of work from a lot of photographers, some of the people that have influenced me are @chrisburkard and @shainblumphotography.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
What technology (camera/software) do you use most?
Currently using a few cameras Sony A7RII, Sony A6500 and Sony RX100 V and edit in Adobe Camera Raw, Lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere
⠀⠀⠀⠀
What motivates you to continue taking pictures?
My original passion started out with capturing moments of my family and kids. That quickly grew to enjoying the many experiences through traveling and catching those moments in our lives.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Which is your favorite lens? Why?
My go to lens is the 16-35mm, I love shooting wide and the 16mm allows me to capture the most in open spaces. With the 42mp on the Sony A7RII it allows me to crop into a picture without losing much detail. The 35mm f1.4 is my next favorite lens, its the perfect focal point for walking around and portraits.
What camera gear do you wish you had? Why?
My current set up is pretty good. If Sony adds some additional features to the current set up then it would be by far the best. I would love to see a touch screen, swivel and flip screen, better performing ISO, better image stabilization and continued improvement with their in camera apps.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
How do you educate yourself to take better pictures?
The number one teacher in the world is the internet. I always use Google and YouTube to educate myself on different techniques. I’m a student of photography and the learning never ends. There are so many shooting and editing techniques that I have yet to master.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Among your works, which one is your favorite? Why?
My rocket launch shot from Cocoa Beach has to be my favorite to date. The shot took the most planning and to see your plan executed makes you feel good about the work and research you put in to get that 1 shot. Then my travels through out Europe are a close second. Seeing Cinque Terre in person was a true wish come true.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?
Looking back at it now, I wish I would’ve taken photography more serious when I was younger. I always had a DSLR but never took the time to fully understand how to use it. I would’ve taken a few photography classes to fully understand the basics of photography. Its well worth the time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
What makes the good picture stand out from the average?
There are many reasons why a picture stands out to me. I look at composition first then editing. Composition plays a huge part visually. Whats the subject? What are you trying to portray in your pictures? Whats the story? And is it different from the everyday picture everyone else takes?
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Where are you from, where do you live.
I’m original from Hollywood, Florida but currently live in Orlando, Florida. I love this state, it has some amazing beaches and its summer all year long.
